A door that sticks, rattles, or won't latch properly is one of those small daily annoyances that adds up. And a well-hung door — one that closes with a soft click and sits perfectly in its frame — is something you feel every time you use it. We install and replace interior and exterior doors in Kelowna homes, hung properly with clean reveals and finished casing.

A well-installed door should open smoothly, sit evenly in the frame, and close without needing a shove. The details are small, but you notice them every time you use it.
Whether you’re replacing one troublesome door, upgrading all the interior doors in the house, or installing a new exterior entry door, we handle the fitting, casing, hardware, and finishing details that make the whole installation feel complete.
What We Install
Interior Door Replacement
Swapping dated hollow-core doors for solid-core or panelled doors can change how a home feels and sounds. We handle single-door replacements and whole-home upgrades, including new casing and hardware where needed.
Exterior Doors
Entry doors, side doors, and other exterior units installed with careful shimming, weather detailing, and clean interior and exterior trim.
Doors For Renovations
Changing a layout or creating a new opening? We can install the new door, jamb, casing, and finishing details so it ties into the surrounding room.
Barn, Pocket & Specialty Doors
Sliding barn doors, pocket doors, wider openings, and other specialty applications installed with the proper backing, hardware, and clearances so they operate smoothly.

01
Even Reveals
The gap around the door should look consistent from top to bottom. Clean, even reveals are one of the easiest ways to tell whether a door has been fitted properly.
02
Smooth Operation
A properly installed door should swing freely, latch cleanly, and stay where you leave it. Careful shimming and adjustment make a big difference.
03
Clean Casings
New doors should work with the rest of the trim in the home. We can install or replace casing so the doorway feels finished rather than patched together.
04
Fit To The Space
Not every existing frame is perfectly square. We fit and adjust around the opening that’s actually there instead of assuming the walls and framing are perfect.
Door installation pricing depends on the type of door, whether the existing frame can stay, the hardware and casing involved, and whether any framing or repair work is required.
The biggest things that affect price are:
• Door type — interior or exterior
• Unit — slab or pre-hung
• Quantity — one door or whole home
• Material — hollow, solid, or custom
• Hardware — hinges, handles, and locks
• Casing — existing or new trim
• Framing — repairs or opening changes
If you send us photos of the existing doors, tell us how many you’re replacing, and let us know what you’re hoping to change, we can usually give you a realistic sense of scope before moving forward.
Every wall, room, and idea is different. A simple shelving project might be fairly straightforward, while a full fireplace wall with cabinetry, drawers, lighting, and custom finishes can become a much larger build.
If you send us a few photos of the space and a rough idea of what you’re hoping to build, we can usually help you get a much clearer sense of the scope before moving forward!
Interior Door Replacement
$300-$900 per door
A standard interior slab or pre-hung door replacement, depending on the door, frame condition, casing, and hardware.
Exterior Door Replacement
$1,000-$5,000
e.g. A standard exterior or entry door replacement, with the final cost depending heavily on the door unit, frame, weatherproofing, hardware, and surrounding trim.
Specialty or Larger Door Projects
$1,500-$5,000+
e.g. French doors, barn doors, pocket doors, custom-sized doors, sidelights, framing changes, or more detailed trim work can push the project higher.
01
Show Us The Doors
Send us photos and let us know how many doors you’re working with, whether they’re interior or exterior, and what’s wrong with the current setup.
02
Confirm Details
We’ll work through measurements, door style, slab vs. pre-hung, casing, hinges, handles, locks, and any other hardware.
03
Installation
Existing doors are removed carefully where needed, new units are fitted and shimmed, and casing and hardware are installed.
04
Adjust & Trim
We test and adjust every door so it opens smoothly and latches properly, prepare the trim for final finishing, protect the surrounding area, and clean up when we’re done.
We install and replace doors throughout Kelowna, including Upper Mission, Lower Mission, Glenmore, Wilden, Kettle Valley, Black Mountain, McKinley Landing, and Dilworth.
We also take on door installation and finish carpentry projects in West Kelowna and Lake Country depending on the scope.
Yes. Single-door replacements are common, whether it’s a front entry door, a bedroom door that sticks, or a bathroom door that won’t latch properly.
If the existing frame is solid, square enough, and in good condition, replacing the slab may be all you need. If the jamb is damaged, badly out of square, or the opening is changing, a pre-hung unit often makes more sense.
Yes. Hinges, handles, locksets, and other door hardware can be installed and adjusted as part of the project.
Usually. If you have an existing trim profile you want to keep, send us a clear photo or sample and we can often find the same profile or a close match.
Yes. Whole-home interior door replacement is a great option when you want to update dated hollow-core doors, improve sound control, or make the trim package feel more consistent.
Sometimes. If the problem is alignment, hinge adjustment, seasonal movement, or minor frame issues, the existing door may be repairable. We can take a look before recommending replacement.
Yes. Exterior doors need proper weather sealing, insulation, threshold setup, and exterior detailing in addition to being plumb and square.
Absolutely. Door replacement is often the ideal time to update casing, especially if the rest of the home is getting new baseboards or trim.
"We hired DiMarco Carpentry to do a built-in fireplace feature wall in our home and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! David worked with us to create exactly what we wanted, including recommending and installing a recessed TV and custom mantel. He was punctual, fair, and most importantly (to me) clean! He undoubtedly puts 150% effort into his work and the results speak for themselves. DiMarco Carpentry completely exceeded our already high expectations and we would highly recommend him and his business!"
