Baseboards do more visual work than they get credit for. They run through every room, frame the floor line, and take more daily abuse than almost any other trim in the house. We install and replace baseboards throughout Kelowna with clean lines, tight joints, and profiles that suit the home instead of fighting it.

Baseboards are one of those details you stop noticing when they’re done well.
But when they’re too small, damaged, uneven, or poorly fitted, they can make an otherwise finished room feel incomplete.
Whether you’re replacing old trim during a renovation, updating a few rooms, or doing a full-home trim package, we can help choose a profile and height that works with your ceilings, doors, floors, and the rest of the home.
When should you replace your baseboards?
New Flooring
If you’re replacing floors, it’s usually a good time to update the baseboards too. Existing trim often gets damaged during removal, and new flooring can change how the old profile sits against the floor.
Dated Profiles
Older, narrow baseboards can feel undersized in newer or more updated spaces. Taller profiles often create a cleaner, more substantial look, especially with 9-foot or higher ceilings.
Damage & Wear
Pet damage, water swelling, chipped corners, dents, and years of vacuum marks can add up. If the damage is widespread, replacement often looks much better than patching.
Renovations & Resale
Fresh baseboards are a relatively simple way to make renovated rooms feel more complete and help listing photos look cleaner and more current.
01
Tight Corners
Inside and outside corners need to fit properly. Clean joints make the whole run look continuous instead of pieced together.
02
Fitted & Scribed
Floors aren’t always perfectly level. We fit and scribe where needed so the baseboard follows the room cleanly instead of leaving obvious gaps.
03
Clean Transitions
Where baseboard meets door casing, tile, stair skirts, cabinetry, or other trim, the transitions are planned so they look intentional.
04
Consistent Finish
When baseboards, casing, crown, and doors relate properly to one another, the entire trim package feels more cohesive.
Baseboard pricing is mostly driven by linear footage, profile size, material, and whether we’re installing new trim or carefully removing and replacing what’s already there.
The biggest things that affect price are:
• Footage — total baseboard length
• Profile — simple or detailed
• Height — standard or taller profiles
• Material — MDF or wood
• Removal — existing baseboard removal
• Corners — more cuts and transitions
• Conditions — uneven floors and walls
If you send us photos, a room list, and rough dimensions, we can usually give you a realistic sense of scope before moving forward.
Every wall, room, and idea is different. A simple shelving project might be fairly straightforward, while a full fireplace wall with cabinetry, drawers, lighting, and custom finishes can become a much larger build.
If you send us a few photos of the space and a rough idea of what you’re hoping to build, we can usually help you get a much clearer sense of the scope before moving forward!

Show Us Your Space
Send us photos of the rooms, what’s there now, and what you’re hoping to change. A room list and rough dimensions help for larger projects.
02
Choose Your Trim
We’ll recommend baseboard heights and profiles that suit your ceiling height, casing, doors, and the style of the home.
03
Remove + Install
Old trim is removed carefully where needed, and the new baseboards are measured, cut, fitted, scribed, and secured.
04
Finishing Details
Joints and nail holes are prepared for the final finish. We protect the floors and surrounding space and clean up properly when the installation is complete.
We install and replace baseboards throughout Kelowna, including Upper Mission, Lower Mission, Glenmore, Wilden, Kettle Valley, Black Mountain, McKinley Landing, and Dilworth.
We also take on baseboard and finish carpentry projects in West Kelowna and Lake Country depending on the scope.
Usually, yes. Existing baseboards often get damaged during removal, and new flooring can change how the old trim sits against the floor. Doing both together is often the cleanest approach.
It depends on ceiling height, casing, and the style of the room. Smaller profiles can work well with lower ceilings, while 5- to 7-inch baseboards often suit taller or more updated spaces. We can recommend what makes sense in your home.
Usually. If you have a sample or a clear photo, we can often find the same profile or the closest available match.
MDF is a common choice for painted baseboards because it’s smooth, stable, and cost-effective. Wood makes sense for stain-grade applications or when you want the natural material to remain visible.
Absolutely. We can update a single room, although we’ll usually look at the adjoining trim too so the transition between old and new feels intentional.
Usually, yes. Taller replacement baseboards can sometimes cover old paint lines or minor wall damage left behind by the original trim, depending on the existing conditions.
Yes, if removal is part of the project. We’ll confirm the scope before starting so you know what’s included.
Yes. Baseboard replacement often happens alongside new flooring or larger renovations, and we can coordinate timing with other trades where needed.
"We hired DiMarco Carpentry to do a built-in fireplace feature wall in our home and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! David worked with us to create exactly what we wanted, including recommending and installing a recessed TV and custom mantel. He was punctual, fair, and most importantly (to me) clean! He undoubtedly puts 150% effort into his work and the results speak for themselves. DiMarco Carpentry completely exceeded our already high expectations and we would highly recommend him and his business!"
