The Stark Residence: Custom Millwork, Trim, Finishing & Entertainment Spaces
This new build custom home located just outside Kelowna features a custom bar, theatre room, wainscoting, coffered ceilings, panel walls and massive vaulted beams - The millwork, trim and finish cabinetry throughout this home is a treat to see!
THE ENTERTAINMENT ROOM
Custom Coffered Ceiling, Wall Paneling & Dark + Moody Trimwork Complement an entertainment space & built-in Bar
It's amazing how much the little details can change the feel of a space! For this beautiful custom home just outside Kelowna, we took care of all the interior trim and finishing work, from the paneled ceilings and custom shelving to the wood detailing behind the bar. One of our favourite features is the wraparound LED lighting, which adds a warm glow and really brings out the depth and texture of the darker finishes. We love how everything came together in this space, with the clean lines, rich wood tones, and thoughtful details creating a home that feels warm, welcoming, and full of character.
Timeless Trimwork Meets Modern Mood
Paneled Wall & Staircase Trim
Who says a staircase has to be boring? This stairwell leads down to the home's theatre room, and we wanted the transition to feel just as special as the spaces on either end. The custom wall paneling adds depth and character to what would otherwise be a pretty simple stairwell, while the dark, moody finish pairs beautifully with the warm wood railings and soft lighting. We love projects like this where a little extra attention to the trimwork can turn an everyday part of the home into something worth noticing.
Matching Powder Room
Matching Paneling & Wood Slats Tie The Space Together
The homeowners loved the custom wall paneling throughout the house so much that they decided to carry the look into the powder room, too! And we're so glad they did. The rich, dark paneling gives this little space so much character, especially paired with the warm pendant lighting, round mirror, and sleek black sink. We also added vertical wood slat detailing behind the vanity to bring in a little extra texture. It's a great example of how custom trimwork can make even the smallest rooms in a home feel special.
The Kitchen, Living Room & Sitting Room Spaces
Vaulted Oak Beams, Custom Fireplace Mantels & Trimwork + Casings
Sometimes it's the simplest details that make the biggest difference! In the main living room we built and installed these beautiful oak beams that follow the vaulted ceiling, adding warmth and character to the big, open space. We also took care of the door casings and baseboards throughout, making sure all the finishing details came together cleanly. We love how the natural wood tones of the beams complement the stone fireplace and wide-plank flooring. It's a much lighter, airier feel than some of the other rooms in this home, but just goes to show how the right trimwork can bring a whole space together without stealing the show.
The homeowner extended the beams throughout the space including the adjoining sitting room, kitchen & dining area.
